It’s the holiday season, and it seems like that’s gotten a lot of people in the giving spirit.
Flying Lotus dropped a large gift onto the Internet last week after his twitter account reached 300,000 followers. There’s a lot to sift through in his zip file, titled “Ideas+Loops+Drafts,” which can be found through This Song Is Sick.
Four Tet celebrated his 100,000th Twitter follower by releasing a slew of songs via songspace, a file-sharing service, prompting one of his followers to dub him “the Beyonce of songspace.” It’s a little tedious, but a small effort trade-off for a Grimes remix, and a slew of other songs dating back to 1999.
Kaskade decided to show a little gratitude with an effort to improve the obviously lacking quality of songs available at holiday time. It includes a version of “Jesu Parvule” (Poor Little Jesus) with Late Night Alumni, as well as a couple remixes of holiday classics by Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. He put them all together on his Tumblr, and the songs can also be found on his SoundCloud page. I also took the liberty of jacking his festive gif. Merry Christmas to me.
