Stop What You’re Doing and Listen to Galantis

Honestly, you won’t regret it.  Just put whatever you’re doing down, maybe stretch a bit and get ready to dance with reckless abandon when you press play.  Galantis is a Swedish duo, made up of one third of Miike Snow, Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklow, also known as Style of Eye.  They’ve both done a fair amount of remixes and one-off production work, but none of really had a comment thread, or in these songs’ cases, any kind of ‘happy gel’ holding them together.

This playlists represents the lion’s share of their six-song, self-title EP due out April 1st.  They’re all candy-sweet and emotionally charged happy pills.  Dig your heels in and give it a few listens.

I also dig their Nu-Simon-Says color scheme.  I took the liberty of adding Kaskade’s take on ‘Smile’ to fill out the playlist, which happily maintains much of the sunshine of the original.
